Saraswat Bank - Safe Banking

A Satark Banking Initiative

INTERNET BANKING

For ease of our customers, Saraswat Bank offers the feature of e-banking thereby utilizing paperless options. Each customer is provided with a unique User ID and/or Password. Your password is generated in such a way that it is only known to you.

Here, we share some security measures of e-banking:

  • Change your password as soon as you receive it by logging into your Internet banking account.
  • Ensure your password is hard to guess. Most secure passwords use a mix of letters, numbers and symbols or a passphrase.
  • Avoid accessing internet banking through public computers /cyber-cafes/free Wi-Fi.
  • Never use the browser option to remember passwords (disable Auto Complete function). Similarly, beware of pop-up windows that ask for your account number and PIN (Personal Identification Number).
  • If you prefer manually typing the website address, kindly ensure it is typed correctly to avoid proceeding to illegitimate websites.
  • Check the website address and padlock symbol on the address bar of your browser before you enter user ID and password.
  • Regularly log into your Internet Banking account and check your bank statements to ensure all transactions are legitimate.
  • Never share your One Time Password (OTP), pin, password, card details & any other sensitive information with anyone, even if the other person claims to be a bank official.
  • Log out from Internet Banking after you complete your transactions. Don’t just close your browser before you log out.
  • Install an effective anti-malware/anti-virus software in your computer or your mobile and keep it updated
  • It is advisable to password-protect the device being used for online banking
  • Keep your mobile number and email ID registered and updated in bank's records to get alerts of transactions.
